Accommodation Assistant


Addenbrookes, Cambridge


£19,275 - £20,290 per year


35 hours per week


We have an opportunity for an Accommodation Assistant to join our Commercial Team based at Sanctuary Addenbrookes. This is an exciting role which is responsible for all aspects of tenancy management including booking accommodation and processing rent payments. The role will work closely with the Commercial team onsite and will work in a team of 12 including General Assistants and Caretakers. We are looking for a team player, a professional individual that is used to working in a fast-paced environment and has experience in a similar customer focused role. Being self-motivated and able to use your own initiative is crucial for the role. An individual that wants to learn new skills & who can relate to Sanctuary’s values is important.


The role of Accommodation Assistant will include:

  • Booking accommodation for patient and relatives/on call doctors and liaising with general assistants to ensure service cleans and hotel style changeover of accommodation on a daily basis
  • Working closely with stakeholders within the trust
  • Providing a first point of contact ensuring a high standard of customer service is delivered to all customers and clients and reacting to any queries raised
  • Supporting and assisting the operational team were applicable
  • Responding to emails, phone calls and face to face enquiries, including repairs requests, housekeeping and ad hoc queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Completing finance tasks such as processing rent payments, invoices and raising purchase orders
  • Communicating with tenants and the wider team
  • Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with internal and external customers


Skills and experiences:

  • Experience of supporting the delivery of high-quality accommodation or customer service
  • Working knowledge of effective communication at all levels
  • Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise work loads
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Previous experience of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Occasional travel may be requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential
