Female Care and Support Worker - Bank

Rosary Priory, Bushey

£8.03 to £8.59 per hour (dependent on qualifications)

Hours as and when required – may include nights and weekends


We are currently seeking a female Care and Support Worker who will make a real difference to the lives of our elderly sisters based at the Rosary Priory convent.

We require a female Care and Support Worker who is conscientious and committed to delivering a high quality care service. Some of your daily duties will include assisting with personal care, administering medication, supporting the sisters in travelling to doctors and hospital appointments, whilst enabling them to take part in the religious community life of the convent.

The role of Care and Support Worker will include:

  • Delivering a high level of care and support to the sisters
  • Assisting and encouraging service users to access and maintain a level of integration into the wider community
  • Providing care and support for service users to enable them to maximise their own potential and level of independence
  • Working with service users and other staff members to ensure a clean and comfortable environment

Skills and experiences:

  • Previous experience in a similar care-related role is desirable, however we can consider applicants with a caring and compassionate nature
  • Enthusiastic and flexible with a strong “can-do” attitude
  • Strong organisational skills as well as functional literacy and numeracy
  • Ability to react quickly to changing priorities whilst working to deadlines and targets
  • An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards
