Bank Project Worker

 

Stoneleigh House, Bristol

 

£9.99 per hour (rising to £10.30 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)

Do you need flexibility in the days you work? Our bank roles (sometimes referred to as “relief roles” in other companies) mean that you will be able to choose from available shifts and have the benefits of a consistent workplace combined with opportunity to build positive relationships with the individuals we support. However you aren’t guaranteed shifts every week as hours are worked as and when required.

 

Stoneleigh House has 10 studio apartments and 2 one-bedroom apartments. We provide support for adults aged 18 to 65, with a range of mental health needs, encouraging them to develop their skills and live as independently as possible.  If you want to make a positive impact to people’s lives, this is a fabulous opportunity to come and work within an established and experienced team.

The role of Bank Project Worker will include:

  • Providing safe accommodation for residents with mental health conditions
  • Assessing and identifying residents’ needs in terms of their health, wellbeing and tenancy and referring them to relevant agencies if necessary
  • Working with statutory and non-statutory agencies on behalf of the residents, actively encouraging choice and involvement
  • Regular key working and support planning to ensure relevant support is provided to enable our residents to maximise their own potential and level of independence
  • Assisting residents to resolve or prevent housing debts that impinges on their ability to pay for their housing
  • Providing assistance to claim and manage housing benefits and offering advice in relation to fulfilling tenancy conditions
  • Monitoring CCTV
  • Lone working
     
    Skills and experiences:
     
  • A sound knowledge of housing management including voids and arrears management and an understanding of occupancy agreements
  • Experience of supporting mental health clients
  • The ability to work on your own initiative as you will be required to source innovative solutions to problems that allow residents’ independence to be enhanced
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel or similar
  • Self motivated and confident in lone working, whilst adhering to internal working procedures
