Project Worker – Temporary position for up to 4 months


Drawbridge House, Bridgwater


£9.77 per hour


37.5 hours per week – alternate weekends and to include ‘sleep in’ shifts if required



Drawbridge House is an eight bed supported living scheme which uses shared living to enable residents with learning disabilities/difficulties to achieve their best outcomes.


We have a great opportunity for a Project Worker with passion and drive to provide support with daily living skills. You will use your experience and knowledge to work with colleagues and partner agencies enabling our residents to achieve their potential by promoting their independence and choices.

The role of Project Worker will include:

  • Providing one-to-one support to clients, helping them to develop their daily living skills and strive for greater independence
  • Promoting clients to make choices
  • Helping clients with; budgeting, menu planning, writing shopping lists, cooking, general house work and medication administration
  • Supporting clients with benefit applications and management
  • Producing care and support plans and risk management plans with clients
  • Liaising with statutory and non-statutory agencies on behalf of clients
  • Managing any safeguarding or serious incidents
  • Managing challenging behaviour in a positive way
  • General housekeeping

Skills and experiences:

  • Previous experience of working with vulnerable people
  • A sound knowledge of housing law, tenancy rights and budgeting
  • The ability to work on your own initiative
  • The ability to react effectively under pressure
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel or similar
  • NVQ3 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards
