Neighbourhood Assistant – Part Time

Bodicote House, Banbury

£12,762 per annum (rising to £14,025 after 12 months service subject to satisfactory performance)

22.5 hours per week

The Neighbourhood teams work with local community groups and organisations to deliver initiatives that benefit residents and the neighbourhoods they live in. We provide support in the form of grants and community development expertise. The Neighbourhood Assistant will work with the Neighbourhood Partnership Manager on a day to day basis and will have regular contact with Neighbourhood Assistants, Managers and the Central Community Investment Team.

The role of Neighbourhood Assistant will include:

  • Managing documentation which may include press releases requiring approval, report returns and information requests
  • Assisting the Neighbourhood teams by ensuring accurate information is prepared and presented to ensure regulatory standards are met
  • Arranging meetings, including sending calendar invites, booking meeting rooms and coordinating follow-up administration to ensure effective organisation and record keeping
  • Communicating with external and internal teams, groups and organisations via email and telephone

Skills and experiences:

  • Previous experience within an administrative or secretarial role
  • Excellent organisational and coordination skills allowing you to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Packages (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Occasional travel  will be required, therefore a full, current driving licence and access to a vehicle would be desirable
