Project Worker


Lightfoot House, Birmingham


£9.99 per hour (rising to £10.30 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)


37.5 hours per week – 9.00am – 5.00pm, Monday - Friday



We are seeking an experienced Project Worker to make a real difference to the lives of our residents. Lightfoot House provides housing and support for vulnerable adults with physical disabilities and learning disabilities. This is a rewarding opportunity to come and work within an established and experienced team.


The role of Project Worker will include:

  • Regular key working and support planning to ensure that the relevant support is provided to encourage our clients to maximise their own potential and level of independence
  • Supporting clients in their day to day living and helping them to live as independently as possible
  • Drawing up and maintaining relevant written records
  • Working with statutory and non-statutory agencies on behalf of the clients, actively encouraging choice and involvement, or acting as an advocate when required
  • Assisting clients in resolving or preventing housing debts
  • Providing assistance to claim and manage housing benefits and offering advice in relation to fulfilling tenancy conditions
  • Promote safe practices and undertake risk assessments within legislative frameworks and business protocols.


Skills and experiences:

  • Previous experience working in care, ideally with clients who have learning disabilities is essential
  • Ability to manage shifts and delegate duties
  • Basic computer skills are required for online training
  • NVQ3 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards
  • Good interpersonal, customer care and communication skills
