We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed General Assistant – Cleaning, to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout Goodwin Court.
Set opposite the picturesque Oakhill Park in East Barnet, Goodwin Court provides apartments and communal facilities for over 55s. Goodwin Court provides support to a diverse group of people, including those with learning and physical disabilities.
We provide a comprehensive induction programme as well as on-going training to develop new and existing skills and encourage progression. Sanctuary has their own Learning and Development Academy, who provide a wide range of training courses, open to all.

The role of General Assistant - Cleaning will include:
- Working with residents, families and staff to ensure a high standard of services
- Undertaking general duties as assigned, such as maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, communal areas and residents’ flats
- Helping to prepare meals and drinks, following food hygiene standards
- Identifying and reporting potential faults and hazards on site, to maintain a safe environment
- Maintaining stock levels, restocking as required and ensuring equipment is used in line with guidance notes
Skills and experiences:
- Working knowledge and experience of undertaking general cleaning duties is essential
- Some experience of working in a domestic/cleaning environment
- Level 2 diploma in housekeeping/catering, or willing to work towards
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills
- A general understanding of health and safety in the work place
