Trade Operative

£35,641 - £37,516 per year

 

40 hours per week

 

We have an opportunity for a Trade Operative to join our Voids team, based in Aberdeen. The role will be responsible for carrying out emergency and routine repairs to properties. You will mainly be lone working however will include team work as and when required. We are looking for someone with previous experience in plastering and painting works. With a company van and tools included the role will cover sites across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

 

The role of Trade Operative will include:

  • Carry out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in line with agreed contract specifications
  • Taping, filling, painting and administering damp and mould treatment
  • Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and restocking these when needed
  • Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery, by resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
  • Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer

 

Skills and experiences:

  • To ensure full compliance with CDM 2015 legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to SVQ Level 3 in a core subject, or currently undertaking the qualification. If you have a lower level qualification along with practical experience and would be prepared to undertake this qualification with the support of Sanctuary Group, we would still welcome an application
  • Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
  • Good communication and customer care skills
  • Recent experience of undertaking a similar role
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
