Gas Engineer

Based at Village Square, Aberdeen – Covering Aberdeenshire

£35,475 per annum (rising to £37,342 after 12 months service subject to satisfactory performance)

40 hours per week - Monday to Friday

This is a great opportunity for a domestic A.C.S qualified Gas Engineer to join our expanding Gas team, part of our Internal Maintenance Service, to cover Aberdeen and surrounding areas. You will be part of a team who provide an effective Gas Operations service to meet contract and customer needs including gas installation, servicing and commissioning.

The role of Gas Engineer will include:

  • Undertaking allocated repairs, servicing, modernisation and other associated works within agreed timescales
  • Utilising analytical and trade skills to diagnose faults for boilers and fitting parts for repairs
  • Undertaking ground checks and servicing boilers
  • Responsibility for the installation and commissioning of; gas central heating systems, open/closed and vented systems, air/ground source, and solar heating systems

Skills and experiences:

  • It is essential that you are technically competent and will possess Level 3 qualifications relevant to; gas, boilers, cookers and fryers e.g. City & Guilds, NVQ or QCF level 3
  • Proven experience within a similar role e.g. Breakdown and Service Repair Engineer
  • Recent experience of diagnosing areas for repair and implementing effective solutions
  • Ability to work independently using your own initiative
  • A company van will be provided for business use only, therefore a full, current driving licence is essential
